There are two types of pills available for PrEP — Truvada and Descovy. If you ever have receptive vaginal sex, the Nurx medical team will prescribe Truvada. Descovy has yet to be proven effective at protecting against HIV for people having receptive vaginal sex.
It’s also worth noting that PrEP does not interact with gender-affirming hormones.
