Nurx GLP-1 Pill: Semaglutide/B6/B12

Your Capsule May Contain One or More of the Following:

Semaglutide (7.5mg or 15mg)

Semaglutide is a prescription GLP-1 receptor agonist, also known as an incretin, which acts like a natural hormone produced in your body. This hormone plays a crucial role in regulating appetite, blood sugar, and other metabolic functions. By mimicking its effects, semaglutide helps to reduce appetite and food cravings, improve eating control, and potentially lower preference for fatty foods. While similar medications have shown weight loss in as little as four weeks, individual results and timelines vary.

Salcaprozate Sodium (SNAC) (100mg)

SNAC helps semaglutide work by briefly lowering stomach acid, which protects it from being broken down too soon. It also increases the fluidity of the stomach lining, which makes it easier for the medicine to move through the cells and into the bloodstream without being damaged.

Cyanocobalamin (1mg)

Cyanocobalamin, or Vitamin B12, is essential for producing red blood cells, maintaining nerve health, and providing energy. It is primarily found in animal products, so individuals who avoid these foods or have absorption issues are at risk for low B12 levels. Certain medications, such as metformin, antacids, and weight loss drugs, can further hinder absorption. Symptoms of deficiency include fatigue, numbness, balance problems, and hair thinning. If B12 levels are low, supplements may be beneficial.

Pyridoxine (1.3mg)

Pyridoxine or vitamin B6 helps the body use protein, carbs, and fat, supports brain function, and protects cells. Rapid weight loss and eating less—especially with GLP-1 medications—can lead to low B6, especially if there’s nausea, vomiting, or a very limited diet. Pyridoxine is known to help with mild nausea in pregnancy, and while there’s no specific evidence it helps with nausea from GLP-1 meds, it may be helpful. For people at risk of low B6 due to diet or medication, checking levels and supplementing may be useful. High doses (over 500 mg/day) should be avoided to prevent nerve damage.
