Because we know you can’t wait, we’ll send the prescription to a pharmacy near you for pick-up.

How Do I Know I Have a UTI?
The symptoms of urinary tract infections can be hard to distinguish from other conditions, including sexually transmitted infections. UTI symptoms usually come on quickly and remain steady until treated or resolved. Here are common symptoms of UTIs and STIs.
After evaluating your symptoms and health history, a Nurx medical provider will prescribe an antibiotic to treat your infection and/or medication to alleviate symptoms. Here are common medications we prescribe:
UTI treatment with Nurx costs $30, which includes:
Your online consultation with the Nurx medical provider who will evaluate your responses
Our medical provider writing your prescription (if medically appropriate)
1 week of unlimited messaging with the medical team about your symptoms and treatment.
A special code for a free medical consultation for birth control and STI testing through Nurx
Please note: The cost of your UTI treatment through Nurx is not covered by insurance. You will pay for the medication when you pick it up at your local pharmacy, and the price will depend on the pharmacy and whether you pay with insurance or out-of-pocket.
People with vaginas who are experiencing symptoms of a urinary tract infection (such a strong urge to urinate, frequent urination, pain with urination, dark or smelly urine), can request care any time through the Nurx website or app. They simply answer questions about their symptoms and health history, then pay $30 for a medical consultation. WIthin a day (and usually sooner) a Nurx medical provider license in the patient’s state will review, reach out to the patient with any follow-up questions, then prescribe or recommend a treatment plan (if medically appropriate). Treatment usually involves antibiotics, and sometimes patients will also be prescribed medication to relieve symptoms while they wait for the antibiotics to take effect. The Nurx medical provider will send the prescription to a local pharmacy of your choice for you to pick up. You will pay for the medication at the pharmacy, either with insurance or out-of-pocket. If you have questions about the price of the medication or copay, please contact the pharmacy. You can message your Nurx medical provider any time for a week after your UTI treatment request, to ask questions about your symptoms or medication.
Your online consultation with the Nurx medical provider costs $30, which you pay when you submit your request for care. This is not covered by insurance. The price of your medical consultation covers a medical provider licensed in your state evaluating your symptoms and health history and writing a prescription (if medically appropriate). It also includes 1 week of unlimited messaging with a medical provider about your UTI symptoms and treatment.
If medication is prescribed your Nurx medical provider will send the prescription to a pharmacy of your choice for pick-up. You will pay for the medication at the pharmacy and the price will depend on the pharmacy and whether you pay with insurance or out-of-pocket.
Nurx prescribes the antibiotics Macrobid, Septra, Bactrim, Sulfatrim, and Keflex, and your medical provider will choose one based on your symptoms and health history. They also may prescribe Pyridium, a medication that alleviates pain and other symptoms of urinary tract infections.
