Ketoconazole 2% cream

Ketoconazole 2% cream is a prescription antifungal cream that relieves symptoms of dandruff (like itching and flaking) and also treats the underlying skin condition known as seborrheic dermatitis that causes dandruff. This medication is also shown to support hair regrowth by reducing scalp inflammation and irritation that can be associated with hair loss.

Ketoconazole is an antifungal ingredient that is used to treat certain fungal or yeast infections. It is a topical cream that is applied directly to the scalp and rinsed off.

Ketoconazole 2% cream can relieve dandruff symptoms in as little as 1-2 weeks.

Tell your provider or health care professional if your symptoms do not begin to improve in 1 to 2 weeks. If your hair has been permanently waved the cream may remove the curl. Additionally, keep out of the reach of children. Store at room temperature below 25 degrees C (77 degrees F). Protect from light. Keep container tightly closed. Throw away any unused medicine after the expiration date.

Ketoconazole 2% cream may not be right for you if you have a history of an unusual or allergic reaction to ketoconazole, itraconazole, miconazole, sulfites, other foods, dyes or preservatives. Additionally, you should let your provider know if you are pregnant or trying to get pregnant, or breast-feeding.

Side effects for which you should seek immediate medical care include allergic reactions like skin rash, itching or hives, swelling of the face, lips, or tongue, pain, tingling, and numbness. Dry skin, hair loss, hair discoloration or abnormal texture, and/or skin irritation are also possible, but usually do not require medical attention. Notify your provider if symptoms persist or worsen.

Interactions are not expected. Do not use any other skin products without telling your provider or health care professional.

Give your health care provider a list of all the medicines, herbs, non-prescription drugs, or dietary supplements you use. Also tell them if you smoke, drink alcohol, or use illegal drugs. Some items may interact with your medicine.

Consultation
Anyone who requests hair loss treatment will be charged an $80 consultation fee. Please note that at this time, we do not submit claims to insurance for the medical consult fee.

Medication
Medication prices for hair loss treatment range from $18-$60 for a three-month supply, and are not covered by insurance. Shipping is always free.

Support Fee
Nurx will charge a flat $3 support fee each month one or more of your orders are processed. This fee covers your unlimited, on-demand access to our customer care team as well as certain processing fees. This fee will only be charged once in any month, even if you have multiple orders processed that month. This fee applies whether the order is filled through Nurx or at your local pharmacy. If your order is filled via Nurx, the support fee is billed at the time of fulfillment. If your prescription is sent to a local pharmacy, a support fee will be applied at that time. In the future, the support fee will be applied on a cadence that matches your medication refill cadence.
