Dr. Courtney Sherman
Dr. Courtney Sherman has been a nurse practitioner for nearly 10 years. She started the first public health PrEP program in Texas and has since assisted with the development of 12 other programs in the state and 9 programs outside the state. She is certified in Public Health and works in the area of HIV and STI prevention and sexual health. Dr. Sherman is an ardent patient advocate and continuously pushes to expand access to care and the shared responsibility of public health.
She believes telehealth offers everyone access to care without fear of judgment or stigma. It allows her to reach more patient than a traditional clinic, including those who are scared to be seen in an STI clinic. Telehealth also allows patients can be completely honest about their questions and concerns without fear of judgement.
“The best thing about working for Nurx is the amazing provider team. We have providers who have expertise in nearly everything, providers who have spent their careers dedicated to serving and empowering patients, and providers who are willing to do whatever it takes to make sure the care we provide is second to none.”
