What happens if the FC2® condom breaks?

If the FC2® (female/internal) condom breaks during use, stop sexual activity immediately to minimize risk. If there has been contact with semen or vaginal fluids, consider emergency contraception to prevent pregnancy. It’s also important to seek STI testing, especially if either partner’s status is unknown, and consider post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) within 72 hours if there’s a risk of HIV. Consult a healthcare provider for guidance and support. To reduce the risk of future breakage, always check the condom for damage before and after use, ensure proper insertion, and avoid using it with a male condom, as friction can increase the chance of tearing.
