Ketoconazole 2% Cream (Generic Nizoral®)

Ketoconazole Cream is a prescription antifungal cream that relieves symptoms of dandruff (like itching and flaking) and also treats the underlying skin condition known as seborrheic dermatitis that causes dandruff. This medication is also shown to support hair regrowth by reducing scalp inflammation and irritation that can be associated with hair loss.

Ketoconazole is an antifungal ingredient that is used to treat certain fungal or yeast infections. It is a topical cream that is applied directly to the scalp and rinsed off.

Tell your doctor or health care professional if your symptoms do not begin to improve in 1 to 2 weeks. If your hair has been permanently waved the cream may remove the curl. Additionally, keep out of the reach of children. Store at room temperature below 25 degrees C (77 degrees F). Protect from light. Keep container tightly closed. Throw away any unused medicine after the expiration date.

• Allergic reactions like skin rash, itching or hives, swelling of the face, lips, or tongue
• Pain, tingling, numbness

• Dry skin
• Hair loss, hair discoloration or abnormal texture
• Skin irritation
