  • How Does Lillow Work?

Lillow is a pill you take daily in 28-day cycles. There are 21 pills with active ingredients and seven placebo pills that you will take at the same time each day. The hormones in the pills work to stop you from ovulating and make your uterus inhospitable to sperm.

  • Where Can You Get Lillow?

Since Lillow requires a prescription from your OB/GYN, many health insurances will cover the cost of it. Even if they don't cover the full cost, you should be able to find Lillow at a discount. The current average price for Lillow is about $30, but many pharmacies offer different prices. Try shopping around at Walmart, Rite Aid, CVS, and other pharmacies to find the lowest cost prescription.

  • Are There Any Precautions When Taking Lillow?

While Lillow is safe for most people to take, there are a few precautions you should discuss with your doctor to make sure it's the right birth control for you. For example, women with pre-existing lipid disorders, liver issues, and emotional disorders may be better suited for another form of birth control. Some women may also have an allergic reaction to the drug, though this is extremely rare. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include swelling of the tongue, throat, or lips, as well as hives, rashes, itching, or trouble breathing.

  • Are There Any Side Effects When Taking Lillow?

Like nearly all forms of birth control, Lillow does cause some side effects. However, for most women, these are mild and don't cause any problems. Some of the most common symptoms include vomiting, nausea, breast tenderness, and trouble wearing contact lenses. Most of these symptoms subside after about three months when your body gets used to the hormonal changes from Lillow.

You may also experience changes to your menstrual cycle. Your periods may become irregular, or you could skip them altogether. Always let your doctor know if you skip more than two periods in a row, as this could be a sign of a more serious problem.

  • Does Lillow Interact With Other Medications?

There are a few medications that should not be taken with Lillow, as they can limit the effectiveness of the drug. These include barbiturates, St. John's Wort, phenytoin, primidone, topiramate, and phenylbutazone. Sometimes, taking antibiotics or penicillin can also hinder the effectiveness of Lillow. If you take any medications, the best thing to do is consult with your OB/GYN, as they will know for sure how the medicine will affect Lillow's potency.

  • Does Lillow Cause Weight Gain?

No, Lillow does not cause weight gain. In fact, no form of hormonal birth control causes weight gain. Many women mistakenly believe this because one of the side effects of birth control is bloating and water retention. This may make a woman look heavier, but in reality, it's all water weight.

  • Does Lillow Contain Estrogen?

Estrogen is one of the main active ingredients in Lillow. Ethinyl estradiol is the scientific name of this form of estrogen, and it's synthetically produced specifically for use in hormonal contraceptives.

  • Does Lillow Cause Acne?

For most women, Lillow should not cause acne. In fact, hormonal birth control helps prevent acne in many women. Your individual results will vary, but your doctor can help predict how Lillow will affect your skin conditions.
