How can I use HSA/FSA benefits to pay for Nurx services?
Generally, you have two options. If you have any questions, it’s best to reach out to your plan administrator (such as HealthEquity, Optum Bank, Fidelity, WEX, etc. ).
Option 1: Use your HSA/FSA card as your primary payment method
-
- New Patients: You can use your HSA or FSA card as your primary payment method during checkout for your initial consultation.
- Existing Patients: Already have an account? Add your HSA or FSA card as your primary payment method in your account settings.
Note: Occasionally, HSA/FSA cards may be declined due to plan restrictions. If that happens, you’ll get an email from us asking you to update your payment method.
Option 2: Pay now, then submit for reimbursement
-
- Apply your personal card and pay out of pocket.
- Message your Nurx ‘Account support’ team in your dashboard to request an invoice here.
- Submit this invoice to your HSA/FSA plan administrator (this is usually directly via their website or app. If you’re unsure, you can check with your human resources (“HR”)health plan representative at work).
How can I check if I have HSA/FSA funds available?
Here are some ways you may be able to locate this information:
- Look for an HSA or FSA debit card you may have received.
- Check your paystub (it may show pre-tax deductions for HSA/FSA).
- Log in to your benefits portal (often through your employer’s HR site).
- Call the number on your insurance or benefits card.
- Ask your employer’s HR/benefits team if you’re unsure.
