Mental health treatment through Nurx costs $59 for the initial consultation and $69 per month for ongoing medication management, which includes your evaluation by a specially trained Nurx medical provider licensed in your state, a personalized treatment plan, regular check-ins with your medical provider and prescription medications delivered with free shipping. You can reach out to the Nurx medical team any time with questions about your treatment. The consultation is not covered by insurance. We bill insurance for medications, and average copays and out-of-pocket prices are listed below.

  • How does Nurx work?

    Nurx is a hassle-free way to access important health needs, including birth control, PrEP, and home tests for HPV and STIs — conveniently, confidentially, and affordably. Get started through our website or download the free Nurx app for iPhone or Android, then choose the prescription or tests you would like. (If you’re not sure which birth control prescription is right for you, we’ll help you find one).

    We’ll ask you to answer a few questions about your health, and enter your health insurance info (if you have insurance — it’s no problem if you don’t). Once you pay for the medical consultation a member of our provider team will review your health profile and, if medically appropriate, write you a prescription or order your tests. Everything will be delivered to your door in discreet packaging.

    We’ll be in touch to confirm everything, and you can message our medical providers any time with questions. The process takes as little as a few business days once we receive your request, assuming you have submitted all of the information we need.

  • Who is Nurx for?

    Anyone who needs birth control, PrEP, an HPV test, or STI testing can request them through Nurx. Make sure to check the list of states we are available in to see where we operate.

  • How much does anxiety and depression treatment with Nurx cost?

    Treatment through Nurx costs $59 for the initial consultation and $69 per month for ongoing medication management, which includes a licensed medical provider evaluating your intake assessment, creating and prescribing your treatment plan, and managing your medication needs on an ongoing basis.

    We bill insurance for your medication, and copays are as little as $0-$10 per month. The out-of-pocket price for most medication is $25 per month, and shipping is always free.

  • Does Nurx accept health insurance for medication?

    Yes, we accept most forms of private health insurance for medications, including:

Nurx is great!!

I have had a really easy and successful relationship with Nurx, everyone is helpful with questions and gets back to me in a timely manner. I also was able to get help with my birth control and mental health medications at nurx which was amazing. They also went through my insurance for me so I didn’t have to figure anything out. I also think it’s get that they automatically ship my medication to me. It’s just so easy to use.

Skincare and mental health

The correspondence of their medical team was professional and prompt. I do not currently have insurance and have been off of my medication for a long time now. They took the time to listen and really assess my needs. They did not push anything on me that I was not comfortable with… which is a huge deal nowadays. Saved my life. Literally.

I have PMDD. My doctor is a faith based practice that doesn’t prescribe birth control. I’ve been suffering with panic attacks and horrible depression for years during my luteal phase. So far, I haven’t had any bad side effects and I got my prescription in just a couple days.
